WHAT WE DO

At Iqraa, we have developed our own carefully structured curriculum to prepare students for GCSE Arabic and Islamic Studies. Our Arabic programme covers the four key language skills: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking, while exploring a wide range of topics to help students understand and communicate confidently in Arabic.

  • Levels 1–2 build strong foundations in Arabic language and vocabulary.

  • Level 3 Introduction to Arabic grammar as well as basic speaking and writing.

  • Level 4 Focuses on Arabic grammar and extended writing.

  • Level 5 Continuation of Arabic grammar and acts as a Pre-GCSE stage, gradually introducing themes from the GCSE curriculum.

  • Levels 6–8 are dedicated to full GCSE preparation, ensuring students are ready for examination success.

In Islamic Studies, we cover Aqidah (belief), Fiqh (Islamic rulings), Seerah (Prophetic biography), Hadith, and Duaa (supplications) at all levels. Our aim is to instil a deep understanding of what it truly means to be a Muslim, and to guide students in how to live their daily lives with faith, manners, and purpose.

In our Quran programme, students study a range of surahs appropriate to their level, with a strong emphasis on correct pronunciation and Tajweed. In our Hifz classes, students receive individualised support, with memorisation goals tailored to the Juz they are currently working on.

Our Qaida course is designed to help students learn Quranic Arabic, focusing on how to read the Quran accurately and confidently. Students progress through structured levels—starting with recognising Arabic letters, then moving on to reading joined letters, words, and full sentences—with the goal of reading the entire Quran fluently.

Alongside this, we offer a foundational Islamic Studies programme, where students learn the basics of Islam, including essential beliefs, practices, and values to help them understand and live their faith from an early age.
